Pulling Avg. Annual Insolation by Zip Code

Forums:

I'm having a lot of trouble pulling the basic data I need, so was hoping to get some help. I am trying to put together a very basic solar calculator, for which I need average insolation per year (can be calculated as average monthly insolation over the last 12 months, or by some other method) by zip code.

I would like to be able to pull 1 simple excel file, which has two columns: (1) Zip code, (2) Average Insolation per year. I would like to have one entry for each zip code in the U.S. (or, for however many zip codes that data is available)

Would someone be able to provide me with instructions as to how to do this, or alternatively just send me a file (the data exists in the database - the issue is that it's challenging to query and put into a format that's usable)?

I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide here. Thank you and happy holidays.

Hello,

We have average insolation for all years for every pixel and if you have a database with zip code then you can merge the two.

Call me if you want further clarification on this.

I am a data science student researching residential solar power installed capacity. Thanks!

Hi Aron,

Would it be possible to get this data set as well?
